Why you should choose Vrida 1 extension arm 1.5 m
- Firstly, the Vrida extension arm 1.5m is suitable for anyone who wants to move the pendant light a longer distance or get a stable solution for moving a pendant lamp. For example, when the ceiling socket/hook is located where it would never work to have a pendant lamp without bumping in to the pendant lamp. The displacement is infinitely variable between 33 cm – 117 cm and is what in many cases is required to create the right feeling in the room. Vrida 1.5 meter is a popular length as it provides great flexibility.
- Secondly, Vrida extension arm is for those who don’t like drilling holes in the ceiling. You hang the extension arm on an existing ceiling socket or ceiling hook, which means that you avoid any impact on the ceiling. The support end has a furniture pad and is not attached to the ceiling. The extension arm can be adjusted again and again without visible traces in the ceiling. You can easily take down the extension arm and use it in the next room or even in the next home.
- Thirdly, Vrida extension arm is a Swedish-made and complete solution where all cabling is integrated into the wooden arm. With Vrida extension arm, you therefore avoid visible cables or adhesive residues from hanging cable strips in the ceiling. The ceiling socket is located at the end of the arm and can be rotated 360 degrees from the existing ceiling socket/hook.
- Fourthly, Vrida extension arm for one pendant is suitable for you if you want to hang your pendant light in a new place in the room, redecorate temporarily when you have the extension plate in the table or simply like to redecorate often! Vrida fits most homes and most pendant lights.
In summary, the Vrida 1.5 meter is perfect for those looking for a quality Swedish product with top-class function and design.
DCL – new EU standard for ceiling sockets
When you buy a Vrida, it comes with the new type of DCL ceiling socket which is according to a common EU standard that applies from 1 April 2019. Vrida extension arms fit both DCL ceiling sockets and other/older/previous types of ceiling hook/sockets that have the electricity near the position of the ceiling hook/socket.
When you order a Vrida extension arm, the following two products are included free of charge:
Lamp plug Grounded – Older standard SKU-5-250071
The lamp plugs are of both the new and older standard that are being used in Sweden and Finland. For other countries we recommend that you connect Vrida extension arm with the same procedure that you would if you connected a pendant lamp. This means that you as a customer can install the standard that you have in your home. Instructions for installing a lamp plug (both DCL and older standard) can be found here: Instructions for installing a plug
In some countries electrical installation work may only be carried out by a authorised electrical contractor. Contact your local electricity authority for advice.
